Roger William Jones
Roger William Jones, age 65, of Indianapolis, formerly of Bargersville, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born September 6, 1950 in Franklin to James E. and Margaret L. Jones. He was a graduate of Franklin Community High School with the Class of 1969. He was a Viet Nam veteran and was a Maintenance man at Arvin Meritor for a number of years. He attended Providence Christian Church and he was a member of American Legion Post #777. Roger was an avid fisherman who also worked in his grandparent’s orchard in his youth.
Roger is survived by his daughters, Heather (Travis) Chittum of Columbia, KY, Shannel Walsman of Franklin and LaDonna (fiance’ Chris Reynolds) Jones of Columbus; brothers, James R. and Robert N. Jones, both of Bargersville; sisters, Marcella (David) Rush of Bargersville and Janet Perkins of Clearwater, FL; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Ann Jones and wives, Jodena and Betty.
The family will hold a Memorial Service at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Christian Church, 4080 W Rd 100 N, Bargersville, IN 46106. Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood is assisting with arrangements.
