Condolence: I am very sorry to hear of this, but not particularly surprised to read of your mother's activities and accomplishments!

She obviously drove herself to see what the world had to offer and, in the case of the Hilly Hundred, what her limits were as well. My interactions with you lead me to believe that more than a little of that energy and curiosity rubbed off on you. Likewise, she was very lucky to have had you and your family.

Please know that you, Jeanne, your children and grandchildren have my best thoughts at this time. Words aren't adequate, of course, but I hope that having so many people thinking the same thing is of some help.
