Road Trip Back to California

Grandpa and Marlene helped us move back to California from Tennessee. We all rode in Marlene and Grandpa's RV. I was 12 years old and had history of sleepwalking, well one night i managed to make it into Grandpa and Marlene's bed, right in the middle of them. I woke up to Marlene having her arm around me sleeping. That is when my connection was for med with her. From then on she was my grandma, even though we always called her Marlene, she was our grandma. That morning when we woke up she said that "boo(their pitbull) and buddy (their boxer) must think im alright because I made it passed them into their bed, and if I passed their test, I must be special".

I couldn't have asked for a better woman for my Grandpa to spend the rest of his life with. She was always there for my family after my grandpa passed away. She holds a special place in my heart. I will miss her. I was so lucky to have her in my life.
