Estelle M. Ware (Mathews)
Estelle M. Ware, age 91, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 with her family at her side. She was born November 18, 1925 in Hartsville, TN to Elbert and Tinie (Stubblefield) Mathews. Estelle was a Housekeeper at I.U. Medical Center for many years. Prior to that job she worked at 2 local dry cleaners as a spotter. She was a member of the Church of ACTS in Indianapolis and she loved to sew, cook, do crafts and make fruitcakes. Estelle spent a portion of each and every day reading and studying her Bible and loved to read about prophesy. Estelle loved gospel music and watched her favorite gospel singers on TV every Saturday night. She loved her family and she will be missed by all who know and love her.
Estelle is survived by her sons, Billy Ray (Giovanna) Sandusky of South Bend, IN and Patrick Quillin of Cloverdale, IN; daughters, Tempo (Michael) Hamm of Brooksville, FL and Cynthia Ware of Orlando, FL; brothers, Willis (Patty) Mathews of Noblesville and Dorsey Mathews of Pendleton; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joie Ware; brothers, Carlos, Jesse and Ralph Mathews; sisters, Edith Smith and Louise Jones.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 2, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
