Mary Rose Williams (Manuel)
Mary Rose Williams, age 87 of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 with her loving family at her side. She was born November 10, 1929 in Indianapolis to Ed and Jesse (Jaynes) Manuel. She was an avid fisherperson who loved to bake and cook. She married John M. Williams on June 24, 1950 in Brownstown. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and Mamaw and she will be sorely missed by everyone who knows and loves her.
Mary is survived by her husband along with their daughters, Teresa (Ron) Hite of Indianapolis and Laura (Andy) Brownley of Alamo, GA; sister, Susan Ringer of Seymour; grandchildren, Chris (Teresa) Hogue of Bargersville, John (Christina) Brownley of Rincon, GA; great grandchildren, Parker and Payton Brownley. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael; brothers, Melvin, Virgil and David Manuel; sisters, Kathleen Humphrey and Catherine Naylor; grandson Michael Hogue.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.
