Barkus Lee King
Barkus “Lee” King, age 50, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 with his family at his side. He was born December 10, 1966 in Beech Grove, IN to Clifford D. and Nadine (Vance) King. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School with the Class of 1985. Lee was an Eagle Scout and he loved to fish and hunt. He worked as a machinist at Tri-K Machines for 10 years and also for other machining companies. He was very intelligent and had a perfect Math score on his SATs. He was very involved with his family and he will be greatly missed by them and everyone who knows him.
Lee is survived by his brothers, Steve (Marlene) King of Indianapolis and Ron (Anita) King of Greenwood; sister, Lena King and companion, Dave Price of Greenwood; nephews, Porter (Julie) Vaughn of Indianapolis, Ryan King of Carmel and Gregory Osman of Greenwood; nieces, Tara (Bill) Nowak of Whiteland, Renee (Justin) Hollman of Greenwood, and Abigail Osman of Greenwood; great nephew, John Robert (Lexi) Tapp, Jr. of Indianapolis; great nieces Kylee and Nikole Vaughn of Indianapolis and Emma Grace Hollman of Greenwood; great great niece, Alayna Tapp of Indianapolis. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Stephanie McKinney.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with burial to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the National MS Society, P.O.
