Warren Asher
Warren Asher, age 83, of Indianapolis, went home to his Lord on Monday, February 6, 2017. He was born November 30, 1933 in Manchester, KY to Lewis and Polly (Smith) Asher. He was a member of True Word Baptist Church. Warren was a Sheet Metal Worker most of his life. He loved fishing, hunting and he was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He loved Western movies and listening to Bluegrass music. He will be greatly missed by his family and everyone who knows him.
Warren married the love of his life, Ethel Senters on October 5th, 1953 in the Post Office in Manchester, KY and she survives him along with their son, Wayne (Patricia) Asher of Indianapolis; daughters, Wilma (Frankie) Nichols of Indianapolis, Rachael (Tony) Fall of Greenwood, Connie (Terry) Webb of Indianapolis, Margaret (Harold) Perry of Indianapolis, Kim (Tim Holt) Beckham of Indianapolis, and Peggy (Johnnie) Montgomery of Indianapolis; brothers, Lewis (Lola) Asher, Jr. of Indianapolis, Broadus (Nina) Asher of Avon, Dennis Asher of OH and Larry (Lorene) Asher of KY; sister, Geraldine Gray of Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank, John, Mack, and Gardener; sisters, Jenny, Ola, and Elva; granddaughter, Kelly Nichols-Zimmerman.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
