Obituary for
George Edward "Bud" Meyer
George E. "Bud" Meyer, 66, of Avon, formerly of Evansville, passed away March 29, 2017. The son of George D. and Donna J. (Collins) Meyer, Bud was born January 4, 1951, in Oakland City, Indiana.
Bud was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the View Nam War. He graduated with an Associates Degree in Electronics from Ivy Tech. For six years, he worked for Bowles Heating and Air and then as a maintenance technician 10 years at Methodist Hospital. Bud was a member of Beacon Church of the Nazarene and formerly a member of Grace Pointe Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed karaoke and fishing.
Bud is survived by his wife, Pamela J. (Smith) Meyer, whom he married September 11, 1971 in Evansville; son, Christopher E. (Kathy) Meyer; daughter, Misty (David) Meckert; his mother, Donna Meyer; brothers, Jeffrey (Debbie) Meyer and Philllip Meyer; sisters, Kathy (Mike) King and Kelly Meyer; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, George D. Meyer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. April 6, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on April 5th at the funeral home. Entombment with military honors will follow services at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
