Donna J. Schoon, 86, of Indianapolis passed away May 19, 2017. She was born February 2, 1931 in Gary, IN to Michael and Katherine Loar.

Donna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed crocheting. She graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1950. Donna and Warren were snowbirds and would travel to Florida in the winter months. They were full time Florida residents from 2007 – 2016. She and Warren spent years camping in Jellystone Park in Indiana, Donna also worked there. She was a member of Murphys Landing Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Warren D. “Butch” Schoon and brothers, Theodore and James Loar.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Warren Schoon; daughter, Susan R. Register; sons, Thomas W. (Cynthia) Schoon and James T. (Julie) Schoon; grandchildren, Timothy Tomich, Marissa (Brandon) Arrington, Jacob Register, Melissa (Matthew) Wargel and Ryan (Heather) Schoon and great grandchild, Brayden Wargel.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 25 at 5:00 pm in Murphys Landing Community Church, 7401 S. Harding St. Indianapolis, IN 46217. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions please be made to the church.
