Obituary for
Charles Ray Harrison
Charles Ray Harrison, 72, of Columbus, formerly of Whiteland, passed away May 20, 2017. The son of John B. and Mary Marie (Hensley) Harrison, Charles was born January 16, 1945 in Nolan, West Virginia.
After retiring as a landscaper, he worked in the warehouse at Kittles. He served with the Indiana National Guard for two years in the 1960’s.
Survivors include his two sons, Charles E. Chandler of Seymour and Lora Ray (Deb) Chandler of Columbus; brother, Gene Harrison of Naugatuck, WV; sisters, Carrie Lester of Whiteland, Dorothy Jarvis of Naugatuck, WV and Naomi Harrison of Bloomington; grandchildren, Courtney S. Chandler, Shawn T. Chandler and Dakota R. Chandler; great-grandchildren, Riley Chandler and Mia Chandler. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Harrison and sisters, Castle Cottle and Patsy Shaiva).
No services are scheduled and a private inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Forest Lawn Funeral Home – 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, is entrusted with arrangements.
