Syble D. Golden (DeVore)
Syble DeVore Golden, age 98, of Indianapolis, passed away August 12, 2017. The daughter of Roe and Bessie Dunham DeVore, Syble was born May 23, 1919 in Swifton, Arkansas.
After 30 years of service, she retired in 1980 from Western Electric. Syble was a member of Nyesville Full Gospel Fellowship, where she taught Sunday school and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She took great joy in quilting and crocheting.
Syble is survived by son, Pete (Veneta) Golden of Pittsboro; daughter, Janey (Steve) Blanchard of Park Rapids, MN; brothers, Gerald (Reavia) DeVore of Lyons, IN and Hugh (Doris) DeVore of TX; sister, Annie Hendrix of Indianapolis; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Golden.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to service time. Burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
